About Melissa
Welcome! I’m Melissa, a registered social worker and therapist dedicated to supporting adults who have experienced or are currently navigating relationships with emotionally immature or dysfunctional family members, partners, or other significant individuals.
Experiences in these types of relationships can have a profound impact, often leading to challenges such as self-doubt, anxiety, depression, difficulty communicating, or struggles with setting and maintaining healthy boundaries.
At Rooted Therapy, I work with clients to explore the underlying factors contributing to their emotional struggles, which may include childhood attachment issues or complex, generational trauma. Through personalized therapy, I help identify and address these root causes, guiding clients toward healing, growth, and a sense of peace in their lives.
I use evidence-based therapeutic techniques that are both effective and efficient, helping clients see real progress as they move forward. Let’s begin your journey toward positive change today.
My current focuses include parental and adult child estrangement and relationship issues, boundaries and communication, trauma (complex and intergenerational) depression, anxiety, addiction and recovery.
